Western Wayne Students Join Inaugural Class of Leadership

Aileanna Hutchins is a Junior at WWHS. She is a member of the Marching and Concert bands, in which she plays flute, as well as Secretary of the Anime Club. Her hobbies include music, art, and writing. She enjoys writing short stories and poems in her free time and is always on the hunt for a new favorite tune.

WWHS students saw first-hand how makers of glass create fiber optic wire among other things when only one of six mobile glass studios in the world visited the high school for demonstrations. The Western Wayne High School marching band took their show on the road for Halloween festivities during the final days of October. The students performed at a number of events including two parades in Honesdale and Barrett Township.  They also gave performances to elementary students in the district at the R.D. Wilson and Evergreen schools along with going to perform in the community at the Wayne Woodlands and Julia Ribaudo Nursing Homes.
